What is the opportunity?
The primary purpose for the Associate, Operations role is to perform daily oversight on complex processes, provide analysis, and customer service support for exception-based complex and/or highly specialized Operation’s processes. Review, verify, and record data into technology systems supporting department processes. In addition, research, resolve, or secure requested information for other Operation’s areas, RBC Business Units, external customers or industry participants. Provide thought leadership and implementation support for department process changes, system enhancements, and new initiatives. Address escalated questions independently seeking assistance from Team Lead or Manager as appropriate following established department procedures. Position contains increased elements of risk which are managed through operational reviews, system checks, and adherence to procedures
What will you do?
- Execute offshore mutual fund transactions including buys, sells, switches, and internal transfers.
- Coordinate the movement of money for purchase and redemption orders.
- Oversee the booking of offshore mutual fund trades into client accounts
- Partner with the Front Office to ensure that inquiries and requests are promptly addressed.
- Provide assistance with inputting Non Financial Updates (NFU’s) for clients holding domestic mutual funds, to ensure that fund company records are aligned with RBC records.
- Provide assistance with setting up systematic withdrawal and contribution plans (AWD and PAC plans) for domestic mutual funds.
- Provide assistance with reviewing domestic mutual fund orders requiring manual intervention and book trades into client accounts are required.
- Provide assistance with reconciliation activities.
- Provide assistance with other ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
