About the role

The North Lambton Community Health Centre is a community governed health centre serving identified priority populations in a defined catchment area. The Centre operates multiple sites in Ontario: Forest, Kettle & Stony Point, Watford, and Sarnia. Our interdisciplinary team provides primary health care, health promotion and community development services.

Registered Dietitian

Permanent - All Sites

0.8 FTE - 30 hours per week

The Registered Dietitian provides evidence-based nutrition assessments, treatment, and education for individuals and groups across the lifespan. A strong focus will also be on diabetes prevention and education for individuals at risk for type 2 diabetes.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree in Foods and Nutrition from a recognized university.

  • Possess current registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario (temporary licenses will also be considered).

  • Three to five years clinical counselling and community nutrition experience.

  • Demonstrated skills in facilitating groups, team skills, and effective communication.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of community-based health care and the determinants of health.

  • Proficiency in French is considered an asset

The rate of pay for this position is $54,560 - $64,800 annually (on a six-step grid). The rate of pay offered will be based on experience and education. Medical benefits, Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) and paid vacation are included. Typical hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm with monthly evening hours. Flexible hours of work are required. The incumbent will be required to work at all locations, as needed.
