About the role

About KOHO We’re on a mission to make financial services better for every Canadian. That means no hidden fees, no predatory interest rates - just financial products designed to help our users spend smart, save more, and build real wealth. We’re a performance organization with a strong heart: we care deeply about outcomes, and everything ties back to our mission - to financially empower a generation of Canadians.

At KOHO, we’re not your average 9-5. We believe real impact comes from people who are trusted, empowered, and supported to do their best work - without sacrificing their lives to do it. We prioritize work-life integration, not just work-life balance. That means asynchronous collaboration, flexible hours, and a remote-first setup built around autonomy and high trust.

KOHO is entering its next chapter - leaner, smarter, more AI-integrated. We’re building for impact, not bureaucracy. If you thrive in environments that value clarity, ownership, and bold thinking, you’ll fit right in.

About The Role At KOHO, our Data Analysts are key contributors who transform marketing data into actionable insights that drive business success. We're seeking a motivated analyst who combines strong technical skills with growing marketing expertise to join our data team. In this role, you'll own the marketing analytics domain, working closely with marketing teams to build dashboards, analyze campaigns, and measure program effectiveness. The ideal candidate is technically skilled and eager to deepen their marketing analytics expertise, comfortable writing efficient SQL queries and presenting clear insights to stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Own the marketing analytics domain: handle both reactive tasks and proactively prioritize work in collaboration with your manager, building pipelines and dashboards for campaign analysis and marketing performance tracking
  • Own data models in DBT with performance in mind, implementing performance recommendations from team members and using advanced DBT features with guidance for marketing analytics
  • Produce polished dashboards with well-organized flow of information that tell clear stories about campaign performance and marketing metrics
  • Analyze marketing campaign performance, support audience creation initiatives, and contribute to program measurement across various marketing channels
  • Handle both reactive analysis requests and proactively suggest areas to focus on based on campaign performance and customer behavior patterns
  • Ensure new dashboards and analyses are always shared, highlighting key insights about marketing campaigns and customer trends
  • Effectively influence the data team by contributing to technical decisions, improving processes, and driving adoption of best practices

Who You Are

  • You have 3-4 years of experience in data roles
  • You consistently write high-quality SQL with readability and efficiency in mind, accounting for edge cases and ensuring accuracy in outputs
  • You own data models in DBT and implement them with performance considerations, capable of using advanced DBT features with guidance
  • You manage Git branches independently, resolve merge conflicts with minimal support, and provide constructive feedback in PR reviews
  • You have a deeper understanding of business strategy and independently navigate business context, applying insights to your work
  • You actively participate in meetings, clearly communicating findings and updates to stakeholders
  • You understand general marketing concepts and are developing expertise in marketing analytics

A bonus if you have experience or an interest in any of the following!

  • Previous experience with marketing analytics or campaign measurement
  • Familiarity with marketing platforms and tools
  • Understanding of experimental design, A/B testing, or attribution modeling
  • Experience with customer segmentation or audience analysis
  • Financial industry experience
  • Interest in customer journey mapping, retention analysis, or marketing mix modeling
