About The Role We’re looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our Quality Engineering, Application Development team for a Fixed Term of 15 months. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Python and Robot Framework to ensure the highest standards of software quality. You will be instrumental in implementing automation strategies, improving QA processes, and enabling seamless integration into CI/CD pipelines to deliver exceptional digital experiences for our customers.
What You’ll Do
- Design and architect Robot Framework test automation frameworks using Python libraries
- Develop custom keywords and reusable test libraries for web, API, and mobile testing
- Create data-driven and modular test suites with proper documentation and naming conventions
- Implement performance and load testing using JMeter for APIs and backend systems
- Build and maintain test automation frameworks from scratch, ensuring scalability and maintainability
- Develop automated test data management utilities and helper functions
- Integrate automated testing suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Maven) for continuous testing
- Troubleshoot, debug, and analyze test failures, ensuring detailed test reporting and metrics
- Collaborate with QA leadership to develop automation strategy and QA process improvements
- Stay current on emerging testing tools, technologies, and best practices
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field
- 7+ years of experience in automation testing
- Strong hands-on experience with Robot Framework, Python, and test automation architecture
- Proficiency in web, API, and mobile test automation
- Expertise with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Maven
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience in database and service-layer testing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing or influencing automation frameworks for enterprise-level testing
- Familiarity with Appium for mobile test automation
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and offshore team collaboration
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Current Location : Mississauga. Our Mississauga office will move to 1 Adelaide, Toronto in September 2026
The hiring base salary range for this position is $99,200 - $136,400 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
