Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to support day-to-day HR operations and contribute to a positive employee experience at Trench Canada. This role offers hands-on exposure to HR processes, employee engagement, and cross-functional projects within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You will play an important role in ensuring smooth HR operations, supporting onboarding and wellness initiatives, and assisting with both local and global HR projects that help strengthen our culture and organizational effectiveness.

Your Tasks:

  • Assist with preparing HR reports, templates, and process documentation to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and process support, including immigration-related tasks and maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Support performance management activities such as probation tracking and follow-up documentation.
  • Participate in the onboarding process, helping new employees feel welcomed, informed, and prepared for success.
  • Support wellness initiatives that promote a healthy, engaging, and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Assist with employee engagement activities, communications, and event coordination.
  • Contribute to both global and local HR projects, collaborating with team members across different regions.
  • Assist with research, documentation, and coordination to support project milestones and deliverables.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline HR processes and enhance employee experience.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a post-secondary program in Human Resources.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI) and an interest in leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and a willingness to learn.
  • Strong interest in HR operations, employee experience, and process improvement.
