Position Purpose: The Seasonal Membership is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while selling memberships, assisting Members in resolving any issues and when staffing Member events. They also ensure accurate and efficient entry of membership data while processing membership sales. This position will assist and provide support in implementing the Strategic Plan.
Core Role Responsibilities:

Processing sales of memberships.

Upselling memberships to guests.

Using a computer-based register, handling cash sales, processing credit card and debit sales.

Providing exceptional customer service to all Zoo Members and guests.

Data entry of Member information.

Working Member events.
-
Assisting Members to resolve any issues.

Follows all policies and branch instructions.

Attends appropriate training as required.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Previous customer service and/or cash handling experience preferred.
- Outgoing and engaging personality.
- Sales experience is an asset.
- Computer skills/experience
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, along with strong communications skills.
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and WHMIS legislation an asset.
- Must be knowledgeable in the use of computerized programs and systems. (including point of sale systems, database etc.)
- Must be able to work weekends, shifts and holidays as scheduled.
- Must be able to deal with staff and public in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Capable of meeting the physical requirements of the position.
