Division info:
Cambridge: This newly built facility (108,000 sq. ft.) is Héroux-Devtek’s center of excellence for machining of B-777 large size landing gear components.
Summary of position:
To develop and maintain CNC programs/documentation using Catia to produce product per Engineering drawings, ODS sheets and specifications.
Main responsibilities:
- Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering on methods of manufacturing and fixturing to investigate tooling requirements and instigate initial purchase of tooling
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing problems and instigate corrective actions and follow up
- Perform blue print reading
- Prepare solid model or geometry for tool paths
- Select cutting tools
- Plan machining processes
- Program tool paths
- Prepare Program Package (tool lists, setup sheets, and measuring tool lists)
- Verify tool paths on Vericut software
- Issue program packages.
- Tape proving on machine
- Program conversions (to different machining center)
- Program change requests.
- Revision updates and changes
- Rework schemes
- Check returned program packages and filing away
- Troubleshooting manufacturing processes
- New tool testing
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3+ years Complete CNC programming experience from drawings.
- Understanding of AS9100 and its impact on the position requirement
- Task Oriented with impeccable technical accuracy
- Requires to pass Controlled Goods Program background screening
