Position Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with strong capabilities in data solution development, data analysis, and business systems analysis. The successful candidate will bring hands-on expertise in SQL, PySpark, Python, Azure Databricks, along with solid experience in data profiling, data modelling, and data mapping. This role focuses on creating reliable and scalable data workflows, assessing and documenting business requirements, and producing detailed technical specifications such as SRS documentation, all within an Agile delivery environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Develop and optimize data pipelines using PySpark, Python, SQL, and Azure Databricks.
• Build scalable data solutions and support data ingestion, transformation, and processing workflows.
• Perform data profiling, create data models, and define source-to-target mappings.
• Produce clear SRS documentation, technical designs, and system flow diagrams.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams and work closely with analysts, scientists, and stakeholders.
• Design and maintain end-to-end data flows, ensuring strong data quality, governance, and compliance.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

• Strong experience with SQL, PySpark, Python, and Azure Databricks.
• Hands-on knowledge of Medallion Architecture and Delta Lake principles.
• Expertise in data profiling, modelling, and mapping.
• Proficiency in creating SRS documentation and technical design artefacts.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions aligned with data and system architecture.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative delivery.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, or other Azure data services.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience supporting a modern Lakehouse environment.
