About the role
Terminal Supervisor
Coach Canada is currently accepting internal applications for the position of Terminal Supervisor at our Union Station location.
This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the terminal, ensuring safe and efficient service delivery, providing frontline leadership to drivers and terminal employees, and assisting with customer service, dispatch coordination, and operational problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day supervision and direction to terminal employees.
- Monitor workflow, staffing levels, attendance, and schedule adherence to ensure operational requirements are met.
- Hold employees accountable for performance, conduct, attendance, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Address routine operational, customer service, and employee issues independently, escalating more complex matters to management as required.
- Support employee training, coaching, and development.
- Ensure established procedures, safety requirements, and service standards are consistently followed.
- Complete required reports, documentation, and administrative tasks.
- Promote a positive, professional, and customer-focused work environment.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous transportation, dispatch, terminal, or supervisory experience is considered an asset.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of company operations, policies, and procedures is required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as operationally required.
