Job Description:
Note: This is a part-time temporary Faculty position (up to 6 hours per week) for the Winter term (January 5 to April 29, 2026) between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. located at the St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus, 120 Bill Martyn Parkway, St. Thomas, Ontario
Hybrid Work: This position requires on-site presence and is not subject to hybrid work.
Fanshawe College is seeking qualified professionals for the following positions at the St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus:
- Part-time Faculty - Electrical Programs
- Part-time Faculty - Mechanical Programs
Faculty are responsible for providing strong academic leadership and developing an effective learning environment for students.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- A combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
- Superior computer skills and a familiarity with educational technologies are required
- Experience with hybrid and online teaching preferred
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary 2 year diploma in relevant fields such as, Industrial Electrician, Millwright, and Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technician
- Journeyman Industrial Millwright or Industrial Electrician certification required
- Minimum 5 years related work experience
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
- Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets
