The Role

Are you the kind of person who thrives where the action is? Do you love being at the heart of fast‑moving projects, solving problems on the fly, and keeping teams organized so they can build incredible things?

If so, Carlson Construction Group is ready to welcome a Site Administrator to one of our newest project sites launching in North Vancouver. We’re looking for a self‑starter—someone who’s excited to step onto a brand‑new project, get things running from day one, set up all site processes and procedures, and be a key support for the project team as the work ramps up.

This onsite role puts you right in the middle of the momentum. Your organizational skills, communication savvy, and ability to stay cool under pressure will help power one of our most exciting, high‑profile marine and foundation construction projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our next Site Administrator, you’ll be the navigator helping the project team chart a smooth course from start to finish. Since this is a brand‑new project, you’ll play a major role in establishing how the site operates.

Your day‑to‑day responsibilities may include:

  • Mastering the flow of all site-related administrative tasks—setting the foundation for smooth operations.
  • Coordinating travel and accommodations so team members and visitors arrive ready to hit the ground running.
  • Managing daily timesheets with accuracy and confidence—ensuring everything aligns with CBA requirements and project timelines.
  • Organizing camp accommodations and ensuring seamless check‑ins and check‑outs for rotating crews.
  • Arranging travel logistics and ground transportation to keep everyone moving efficiently.
  • Maintaining document control systems and compiling essential project reports that keep the team informed.
  • Partnering closely with our HR Manager on key HR‑related tasks and supporting the broader project team.
  • Jumping in, adapting, and supporting wherever you’re needed in a dynamic, fast‑paced site environment.

Who You Are

You’re someone who makes things happen. People rely on you because you’re organized, proactive, and always ahead of schedule. You’re confident handling high volumes of information, remain calm under pressure, and communicate clearly—especially in a field environment.

You also bring:

  • 3+ years of relevant administrative experience
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with Acumatica (an asset)
  • Strong database knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use standard office equipment
  • Willingness to support HR functions as needed

Key strengths that set you up for success:

  • Impeccable time management and organization
  • Proactive problem‑solving and sound judgment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong relationship‑building across diverse teams
  • High ethical and professional standards
  • Ability to read and understand project documentation and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards

Why This Role Is Special

This isn’t just another admin job—it’s a chance to help launch and shape a brand‑new project from the ground up. You’ll be at the heart of some of the most unique and complex marine infrastructure projects on the West Coast.

You’ll gain exposure to an industry few get to experience, work with a team that values your contributions, and build a long‑term career within a respected construction group.

Your work will directly impact project execution, safety, and team efficiency—a meaningful role where your strengths truly matter.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Salary: $70,000 – $85,000
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Bonus eligibility
  • Career growth and advancement opportunities
  • Exposure to unique, diverse marine construction projects
  • Ongoing training, mentorship, and long-term professional development
