About the role
Position: Industrial Electrician Location: Belleville, Ontario
Compensation: $44.34 per hour + Shift premiums
Shifts: Rotating – Days, Afternoons, and Midnights OR Continental 12 hour shift
Overview We’re seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance and engineering team in Belleville. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, implementing timely and effective solutions.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to improve production efficiency and equipment reliability.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform scheduled maintenance as required.
Qualifications
- Certified Industrial Electrician (Red Seal or equivalent) OR 3rd, 4th year apprentice
- Valid Class G driver’s license (or provincial equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an electrician, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial machinery.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities.
- Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of occupational safety standards and safe work practices.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable standing, walking, and working in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Ability to work at heights and in various environmental conditions.
