The D365 Business Analyst serves as the critical link between business stakeholders and product development teams. You’ll be responsible for gathering and translating business requirements into actionable user stories, managing the product release cycle, and supporting the full development lifecycle—from planning through post-launch support. This role requires strong collaboration across departments including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Development, and Customer Success.
Essential Duties And Tasks
- Act as functional lead and subject matter expert on MS Dynamics 365 functionality
- Write clear, actionable user stories and manage backlog items in an Agile environment
- Lead product planning and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities.
- Facilitate requirements gathering through meetings, interviews, and email communications
- Create and maintain relationships with services and business partners.
- Design CRM workflows that support recurring service scheduling, customer retention, and promotional campaigns tailored to route-based operations
- Assist with the development of conceptual business model views with high-level and detailed business process designs.
- Develop the required work products for the application domains of change (functional designs, test cases, training materials)
- Communicate in formal presentation settings, such as workshops; describing work products related to product changes and formal written deliverables as needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions that enhance customer experience.
- Train users on new software and procedures
- Collaborate with PMO to track project timelines, deliverables and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience required
- 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics D365 analysis, design, implementation, configuration, and training
- 3+ years of experience in a relevant work environment such as business or systems analysis, or process improvement
- Proven ability to work with vendor relationships, business partners, and technical teams
- The ability to clearly communicate both in verbal and written format
- Work directly with project stakeholders and Business Product Owners at various levels
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Working knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. Agile and Waterfall)
- Business/Technical Project Analysis
- Agile/Scrum Framework
- Experience with ERP systems a plus
