About the role
0.571 FTE English and Humanities Teacher Eagle River Secondary This is a temporary assignment effective immediately to January 27, 2026. This assignment consists of teaching one (1) block English 10 and one (1) block Humanities 7/8. The block rotation is A/B.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts or Education (Secondary emphasis preferred);
- Valid BC teaching certificate and current membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch.
Teachers Applying Should Possess The Following Attributes
- academic credentials and/or experience in teaching English;
- academic credentials and/or experience in teaching Humanities;
- a working knowledge of the current curriculum for English and Humanities;
- demonstrated successful experience teaching at the Secondary level;
- commitment to fostering a collaborative and cooperative working environment;
- committed to stimulating student interest and confidence in learning;
- evidence of ability to motivate secondary students;
- demonstrated use of a variety of instructional and assessment strategies;
- excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment with other staff members;
- commitment to involving parents in the learning of their children.
