Role Overview
This role is responsible for performing a wide range of skilled carpentry and building maintenance work - including structural repairs, roofing, drywall, tiling, concrete patching, timber replacement, building maintenance - to ensure safe, high quality upkeep of the facilities. This role requires membership in the Teamsters Union, Local 213.

Main Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of carpentry tasks, including framing, finishing, doors, trim, structural work, and maintaining key/lock systems.
- Install, repair, and finish drywall (boarding, taping, mudding, sanding).
- Complete tiling and waterproofing projects, including layout, installation, cutting, and grouting.
- Conduct roofing repairs, gutter and flashing work, and oversee roofing contractors when required.
- Carry out concrete patching, timber replacement (including 8”x12” timbers), and maintenance of walkways and handrails on corrugated roofs.Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure all work meets building codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations.
- Oversee small teams during shutdown projects and collaborate effectively with supervisors, trades, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas and perform additional tasks such as assembling/disassembling office furniture.
Compensation
- Base Pay $46.82 per hour plus applicable premiums
- Tool Premium $0.20 per hour
- Overtime rate is double

- Monday – Friday (Day)

What You’ll Bring
- BC or Inter-Provincial Carpenter Trade Qualification
- Minimum of 5 years' related work experience in a heavy industrial environment
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and schematics to determine work procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to recognize and assist in resolving issues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- High aptitude for quick learning
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
