What’s in it for you? - Industry Leading Wage: $70.19 - $77.99/hour - Continuous Shift Premium: $3.50/hour - Night Shift Premium: $3.50/hour - Flexible Shift Rotations/Shift Rotation: 14x14, extra 15 scheduled weeks off per year - Paid Time Off in Year 1 - Accommodation Support: premium camp or location allowance of $1350/month is provided - Employer paid medical benefits - Employer paid pension - Employee matched Share Purchase options - CAT certified training: Additional certifications and skill development paid for by Finning Job Description: Major Job Functions: Safety conscience team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail Comply and engage with all safety requirements from customer and Finning Trouble shooting equipment and perform repairs independently Interface with customers, products and sales support Working with the supervisor on various tasks and duties as needed Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment Perform component intervention diagnosis and repairs Perform field runner duties and in mine repairs as needed Perform undercarriage repairs as needed Qualifications: Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification Minimum 3 years experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic in a mining environment Valid class 5 driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract 797F truck experience will be considered and asset Ability to conduct and perform duties and leverage resources independently Ability to independently troubleshoot and perform internal engine repairs Deep understanding of the Caterpillar product line Ability to effectively navigate SIS 2.0 without assistance Ability to leverage and prove competency in searching DPSS to assist with troubleshooting and find information Ability to independently submit DSN in event troubleshooting requires additional support or has been deemed a requirement Important Detail: This position will work a 14x14 continuous shift, rotating days and nights, and will provide support to Syncrude Basemine (D08). A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug, Alcohol and fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable. Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
