POSITION OVERVIEW
Are you passionate about entrepreneurship and want to contribute to the success of Canadian businesses? Do you have strong B2B product marketing and partner management experience? BDC is looking for a Senior Advisor, Product Marketing to support our Community Banking unit.
BDC aims to increase its impact on the Canadian economy by fueling the dreams of entrepreneurs through access to financial solutions and holistic support. Central to this is the ambition to reach more entrepreneurs, especially level the odds of those underserved, by leveraging lending partnerships. The Community Banking unit is a vehicle for this strategy, deploying transformative financing and non-financing solutions through meaningful relationships with external partners (B2B2C model).
The ideal candidate has a proven track record for delivering crips positioning, messaging and content, as well as impactful multi-channel marketing plans to promote existing partner offers and launch new ones. He or she will be dedicated to the Community Banking unit and work with different internal and external stakeholders, demonstrate agility, leadership of influence as well as the ability to build trustworthy relationships.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
- Acting as a marketing project lead, work closely with the Community Banking unit and strategic partners to develop marketing communications strategies and plans, and bring them to life with clear positioning, value propositions, naming and key messages.
- Deliver on multi-channel marketing campaigns, tactics, tools, website content and more, to promote existing partner offers and launch new offerings and initiatives in both a B2B and B2B2C context.
- Work with internal stakeholders (translation, branding, Web and digital experience, public relations, events, etc.) to ensure efficient marketing content creation, publication, and promotion.
- Write clear marketing briefs to guide the development of marketing communication assets.
- Help set key performance indicators for campaigns, monitor progress and recommend/implement any necessary changes to improve performance.
- Ensure consistency of brand positioning and messaging in all communications to meet BDC’s style guide and inclusive writing standards.
- Monitoring any potential reputational risk for BDC on an ongoing basis and collaborate with BDC’s External Communications team.
- Stay on top of the latest news and economic trends affecting small and medium-sized businesses as well as entrepreneurs’ preferred modes and channels of communication.
- Oversee the work of external resources when required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor’s degree in marketing and / or communications; a master’s or graduate degree are considered an asset.

Minimum of seven years' experience developing and implementing marketing plans, creating engaging content and promoting B2B and B2C offers in a matrix environment and through cross-functional collaboration.

Experience launching products and programs and managing marketing projects in collaboration with partners.
-
Strong competencies in digital marketing communications strategies.
-
Ability to clearly and concisely communicate your vision to collaborators and write clear briefs.

Strong leadership abilities, including polished communication and negotiation skills.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously

Autonomous, excellent judgement and initiative

Curiosity and capacity to ask exploratory questions.

Ability to manage and track budgets.

An ability to work under pressure and manage changing timelines.

Good knowledge of the small business environment and economic issues.

Bilingualism (French and English) is required
