Senior Audio Artist – Speech Tiburon Audio is an award-winning audio team creating audio assets for titles within EA STUDIOS. Through uniting our creative talents and technical expertise, our Audio team is driving industry-leading audio through partnership, professionalism, expertise, innovation, and uncompromising quality.
Role Overview We are seeking a seasoned Audio Artist specializing in commentary audio implementation to enhance our broadcast experience. This role supports American Football, focusing on developing and refining all aspects of commentary within the College Football and Madden Teams.
You will oversee the commentary experience and VO systems, actively participating in all production stages, and leading a team of artists and implementers. Reporting to the Development Manager, Audio Director, and team leads, you should possess strong skills in programmatic scripting and advanced file management, ensuring the highest quality in your work.
Key Responsibilities
- You would be responsible for designing and implementing commentary content.
- Understand and author scripted workflows.
- Data Management
- Task Delegation
- Build and tune commentary logic using an in-house scripting language similar to Python/Lua/JavaScript.
- Organize in-game VO assets per naming convention protocols in an MS Access database.
- Familiarity with the concepts of source control software, preferably experience with Perforce (P4V).
- Receive and build the Audio Director’s vision, while taking pride in your work.
Required Skills And Experience
- Minimum 3 years audio production experience (or equivalent)
- 5+ years of game audio experience
- Passion for football and sports video games
- Fully proficient in DAW production and associated audio production tools
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral
- Proficiency in scripting languages a plus
- Solid experience using game audio development tools, technology, and pipelines
- Solid knowledge of PC and console audio hardware
- Outstanding listening skills
- Experience in the area of technical implementation of game audio
Compensation And Benefits The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$91,100 - $126,900 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
