About the role
Consertek LM Group is a dynamic company actively involved in infrastructure related to renewable energy and telecommunications. The company specializes in the deployment and construction of meteorological structures/towers and active voice and data transport networks, as well as the installation and commissioning of meteorological measurement instruments.
We are currently looking for a Project Manager | Steel Structure Construction to strengthen our team.
The Project Manager | Steel Structure Construction is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring projects involving the fabrication and installation of steel structures, from the start-up phase through to final delivery. The role ensures compliance with schedules in line with the company’s commitments, as well as budgets, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand client specifications and industry requirements.
- Plan project progress based on contract award, preliminary requirements, budget, scope of work, and project objectives.
- Establish and issue lists of required materials, equipment, and subcontracting needs.
- Prepare the health and safety program, contracts, purchase orders, permits, and any other required requests.
- Submit the project schedule to the client.
- Prepare the billing summary based on the estimate budget.
- Meet with the team lead, explain the project, and hand over the project file.
- Monitor project progress through work orders, weekly reports, subcontractor invoices, delivery slips, and site visits.
- Participate in field or site meetings.
- Guide project teams and riggers according to the work to be performed and any issues encountered.
- Manage change requests throughout the project.
- Prepare monthly or progressive billing.
- Coordinate project close-out with the Regional Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- The ideal candidate will have three (3) to five (5) years of experience in steel structure construction, civil engineering, project management, or a related field (civil and structural construction—non-residential or commercial).
- PMP certification (preferred) or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of structural drawings and applicable standards.
- Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong ability to prioritize and manage schedules.
- Bilingual (English / French) a must.
- Good knowledge of MS Office 365.
REQUIREMENTS
- Leadership and strong organizational skills; reliable, with the ability to assess workload and show initiative.
- Dynamic and able to maintain excellent client relationships.
- Ability to work under pressure, strong analytical mindset, sense of urgency, and decision-making skills.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
