About the role

The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach Winter 2026 ACCT 323 LEC 03(Introductory Managerial Accounting). Classes in the Winter 2026 semester run from January 12, 2026, to April 14, 2026. Registrar Scheduled Exams will take place between April 17, 2026, to April 28, 2026, if applicable.

The calendar description of the course:
¿An introduction to the use of accounting within an organizational context. Emphasis is placed on the development and dissemination of accounting information necessary for effective management including: planning, directing, motivating, and controlling activities and behaviours.¿

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary degree in a related field and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in Canada are both required
  • Previous post-secondary accounting teaching experience is required
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have previous experience teaching ACCT 323
  • Experience in programs such as Zoom, D2L and other digital education products would be an asset
