We are looking for a Service Technician to join our team in Carp, ON. The Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance and preparation of the ATCO rental fleet units (mobile offices, sanitary units and modular complexes) according to company standards and policies. The Service Technician plays a strategic role in order to ensure the availability of equipment according to the priorities and the required deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift (loader) to move rental units upon reception, preparation and delivery

• Carry out maintenance, modification, repair and preparation work on mobile offices and modular buildings such as:

  • Carpentry & general maintenance:

    • Framing, roofing, interior finishing, floor tiling, windows & doors installation and repairs, exterior siding, painting, caulking etc.

  • Preparation and cleaning:

    • Cleaning walls, windows, washrooms, floors (Broom, mop, polishing and waxing),

  • Electricity:

    • Replace or install light fixtures, ballasts, etc.
    • Relocate junction boxes, switches, lights, etc.
    • Connect the power supply to the rental units for maintenance

  • Plumbing:

    • Verification and repair of piping, pumps, crushers, tanks, etc.
    • Winterization of self-contained sanitary units

  • Heating, Ventilation, Air-conditioning (HVAC):

    • Basic verification and maintenance of HVAC systems, such as cleaning, replacement of filters, etc.

  • Furniture:

    • Loading and unloading furniture in rental units

  • Mechanics & welding:

    • Running gear and brakes, tripods, balconies, tripods, etc.

• Complete the documents associated with the preparation and maintenance of rental units such as Service Work Orders, Preparation Sheets and Service Call Forms

• Service calls:

  • Represent ATCO at the customer
  • Establish diagnostics and carry out corrective work
  • Complete Service Call Forms

Job Qualifications:

• ASP Construction certification is preferred
• WHMIS 2015, First Aid, Work in Heights and Forklift operator certifications are considered an asset
• Valid driver's license (Class G)
• Experience and skills in construction and renovation: Carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electricity, etc.
