Purpose of your Position - Non Union
Classification Summary - Union
The Hospitality Assistant is responsible for the effective operation of the front of house during an event. They welcome the patrons into the theatre and oversee their safety and well-being before, during, and immediately after the event.
Duties - Union
-
Assists the Hospitality Coordinator with the day-to-day responsibilities of the KCT concession and front of house services.
-
Assists with recruiting, training, and evaluation of registered volunteers.
-
Oversees volunteer front of house duties including ticket taking, ushering, and audience management during event.

Responds to public inquiries during the event.
-
Maintains the appearance of the lobby and all public areas; communicates any challenges to Hospitality Coordinator.

Maintains inventory of all concession products and supplies.
-
Assist with identifying consumer trends, product pricing and incentives.
-
Responsible for the daily, weekly and monthly front of house activity reporting.
-
Coordinates performance timelines with the Technical Director, including preshow chat, curtain speeches, and intermission.
-
Troubleshoots night of show issues in a professional manner.

Maintains required equipment for Front of House Services (i.e.: scanners, radios.).

Provides leadership in emergency situations, including fire alarm and inclement weather warnings.

Perform other duties as required.
