- Mark short answer/paragraph question tests using a marking guide
- Mark mid-term and/or final examinations using an answer key
- Mark assignments using a marking guide and other relevant duties as assigned, for one of the following courses:
82:161 Introduction to Psychology Part II82:251 Fundamentals of Psychological Research Part II
82: 274 Child Psychology82:276 Behavioral Analysis
82:363 Prejudice, Discrimination, and Stereotyping82:388 Human Learning and Cognition82:467 Biological Psychology
NOTE 82: 251: The student assistant for this course will mark 10 weekly lab assignments. This course is typically at capacity (35 students) by the beginning of Term 2. Thirty-five hours of marking support is being requested for this
course (35 labs * 6 min /lab * 10 weeks = 35 hours)
Qualifications/Experience:
- Limited advanced skills and judgment
- Ability to work independently and/or with others effectively
- Ability to take direction and work to meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to follow the marking guide and scheme efficiently and precisely with attention to detail
- Previous marking experience preferred
- Understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality
8.Preference given to current Brandon University student; second year undergraduate level/standing is required - Major in Psychology required. Must have successfully completed course applying for. At least grade of B in other
Psychology courses is an asset. - Good overall academic standing.
