About the role

Being a Shuttle Bus Driver for our Park N' Fly contract is more than just a job – it's an opportunity to provide a high quality service to passengers from around the world. If you're a diver with a Full Class 4 license (endorsed to carry 8 or more passengers), a Class 2 Bus License (or equivalent license) then this could be the opportunity for you.

Commissionaires Nova Scotia is looking for both Full-Time and Part-Time drivers to be based at Halifax International Airport, where your duties will include; driving passengers to and from the Airport and Parking facility, assisting passengers with wayfinding and the performance of other security needs. THE ROLE

Position: Park'N Fly Shuttle Bus Driver (multiple positions)
Competition Number: CNS 2025-10-01b
Location: Halifax Stanfield International Airport
Reports to: Site Supervisor

Wage: $21.20 per hour
Working Hours: Rotating shifts, various hours/days of the week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

While duties vary by assignment, the responsibilities of this role may include, but are not limited to:

  • Safely transporting passengers from the secure Park'N Fly location to the airport terminal

  • Welcoming passengers using superior customer service skills.

  • Acting as an ambassador by representing Nova Scotia with warmth and hospitality.

  • Assisting passengers with baggage, when required

  • Ensuring the health and safety of yourself and others in the workplace

  • Adhering to CNS’ Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, systems, and practices (and those of the clients we serve)

  • Respecting CNS policies, Site Work Instructions, and Site Supervisor’s direction

  • Other functions may include reception/administration, reporting, emergency management and access control

WHO WE’RE SEEKING

  • Superior attention to detail with very good verbal communication skills

  • Computer literacy, and/or an aptitude to learn is an asset

Mental alertness with an ability to:

  • demonstrate a strong work ethic and “Can Do” attitude
  • react calmly, quickly, and appropriately in any crisis
  • concentrate and remain alert for up to 12 hours
  • communicate observed characteristics/behaviour (good memory)
  • demonstrate problem-solving and sound judgement

Physical fitness with an ability to:

  • climb multiple flights of stairs with ease
  • navigate uneven terrain during foot patrols (in all weather conditions)
  • display good dexterity and balance
  • rely on all senses in assessing changes to the work environment

Basic Requirements:

  • Be aged 19 or older;

  • Have eligibility to work in Canada;

  • Not have a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted;

  • Be able to provide fingerprints and complete a criminal record check;

  • Be eligible to apply for, and attain, a Government of Canada personnel security screening.;

  • Have a valid Nova Scotia Driver's License, or reliable transportation to/from the worksites.
