JOB DESCRIPTION: As a Site Services and Janitorial Staff member at Wet n’ Wild Toronto Waterpark, your primary responsibility is to contribute to the cleanliness, safety, and overall positive experience for park guests. This role involves a combination of janitorial duties, maintenance tasks, and ensuring a sanitary environment throughout the park.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting in various areas of the park, including restrooms, dining areas, and walkways.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
  • Clean and sanitize restroom facilities regularly.
  • Monitor and replenish restroom supplies.
  • Conduct regular inspections of park areas to identify and address cleanliness and maintenance issues.
  • Assist in maintaining the overall appearance of the park, including landscaping and general upkeep.
  • Report any maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
  • Properly dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with park policies and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor recycling stations and educate guests on proper disposal practices.
  • Provide assistance to guests by answering questions and offering directions.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor, contributing to a positive guest experience.
  • Work collaboratively with other Park Services and Janitorial Staff members as well as other departments within the park.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure efficient operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness and stamina for standing, walking, and performing manual tasks.

  • Must be able to sit and/stand/and walk for long periods of time throughout the day.
  • Requires occasional lifts and carries up to 60 pounds.
  • Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, hand/eye coordination, near vision, hearing and speech.
  • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. This position requires occasional work in or around wetness, confined spaces-cramped quarters, heights, noise, detergents/chemicals, mechanical hazards, moving objects, fumes/odors, dust, mist, gases, or vibrations. The noise level is generally moderate.
