Commercial Vehicle Dealership - Growing Team Environment
We are currently seeking a licensed 310T or 310S Automotive Service Technician to join our growing commercial vehicle dealership and fleet service team. This position is ideal for a motivated technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced environment focused on commercial vehicles and fleet solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair operational issues on commercial vehicles, diesel trucks, and fleet equipment
- Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel, gasoline, CNG, and electrically operated vehicles and equipment
- Complete preventative maintenance services including oil changes, tune-ups, filters, tire rotations, balancing, and brake service
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical systems, and computerized vehicle controls
- Perform CVOR inspections, safety certifications, and repairs in accordance with provincial standards
- Conduct road tests while following safe driving practices
- Create and maintain accurate work orders, repair logs, and service documentation using PBS and other computerized systems
- Order parts, coordinate outside repair services, and manage repair schedules efficiently
- Review mechanical write-ups and assist in planning repairs and maintenance timelines
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order
- Ensure warranty eligibility prior to completing warranty repairs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all occupational health & safety regulations, company procedures, and safety standards
- Participate in ongoing training and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support a positive team culture and assist with additional duties as required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician License or 310S Automotive Service Technician License
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver?s License with a clean driving record
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience with commercial vehicles, fleet maintenance, and computerized diagnostic systems
- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems
- Hydraulics experience is considered an asset
- Ability to perform road service repairs and work independently when required
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Basic computer proficiency including email, diagnostic software, and work order systems
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality workmanship
