About the role

What you'll do

As a UX Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the customer experience across all digital touchpoints across CTC (including Marks & Sport Chek).

UX Design Manager will influence and inspire UX designers to ensure customer centricity when designing ‘best-in-class’ digital experiences that add value to customers and grow our business.

While fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within your UX design team, you will be responsible for ensuring that customer-centric design principles are at the heart of every project while the team delivers production ready designs for eCommerce and Banking Web, Mobile Apps and Kiosks, synthesizing in-store and out-of-store digital experiences.

  • Deliver on customer centricity through coordination of user research into design processes to ensure teams are validating and iterating based on customer insights.
  • Manage, coach and grow UX Designers within the practice delivering with industry leading web, mobile and kiosk design patterns.
  • Research and define UX Design best practices and principles for designers to follow.
  • Represent UX team, share updates, and gain support from partnering departments within the company (product, development, quality assurance, etc.).
  • Work with Product Managers and Engineering leads to contribute to product planning and feature definition, leveraging qualitative and quantitative data to help drive informed decision-making.
  • Help the team balance tactical and strategic priorities, ensuring that UX design, prototyping and user feedback are consistently used to maximum impact in the development process.
  • Ensure UX designers are delivering accessible, compliant, experiences for all required standards.

What you bring

  • A minimum of 10+ years experience creating exceptional digital experiences at either a digital agency or eCommerce company in a UX Design role or similar.
  • 3+ years experience managing a UX Design team
  • Experience collaborating with UX Strategists, UX & UI Designers, Researchers and Copywriters building ‘best-in-calsss’ digital experiences.
  • Ability to nurture talent and provide inspiring constructive feedback to designers and fellow managers.
  • Must be self-motivated and driven to deliver quality, focus & vision as they craft their team and deliver on customer centricity.
  • Expert working knowledge of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and AI tools with strong interpersonal skills specific to verbal and oral communication and collaboration.
