About the role

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Social Media Coordinator will support the day-to-day operations of a large, multi-vertical social media program. You will work behind the scenes to keep content moving—organizing assets, supporting publishing workflows, routing approvals, and escalating community interactions—so that Social Media Managers and Content Leads can focus on strategy, storytelling, and engagement.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, process, and momentum. You’ll be deeply embedded in social operations, acting as the connective tissue between account teams, project managers, and social execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support publishing workflows across all social channels by managing schedules, asset readiness, and approval routing.
  • Assist Social Media Managers with content trafficking, including uploading assets, tagging, and scheduling in social publishing tools (e.g., Sprinklr).
  • Maintain editorial calendar hygiene, ensuring timelines, assets, and metadata are accurate and up to date.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and Account Managers to track deliverables and ensure content stays on schedule.
  • Monitor inboxes, DMs, and community touchpoints to identify posts or messages that require escalation to SMMs or Leads.
  • Help organize creative assets, briefs, feedback, and documentation across shared systems.
  • Support reporting workflows by pulling screenshots, links, and basic data for monthly and quarterly recaps.
  • Assist with reactive moments by quickly routing assets, approvals, or publishing support as needed.
  • Flag risks, delays, or missing information early to prevent bottlenecks.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • A strong understanding of popular social media channels such as (but not limited to) Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn and YouTube, and how to effectively measure content performance on these channels
  • Proficient in social media management and measurement tools such as (but not limited to) Sprout Social, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Sysomos, social media native platform business/ad managers, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable on current and emerging social and content marketing trends
  • Proven track record of exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to take on different brand tones and styles
  • Solution-oriented with a strategic mindset and collaborative approach
