Job Description:
Assist patrons professionally and friendly and provide both external and internal customer service. You would be required to cash Tito tickets, lottery tickets, and Encore Rewards points. You would also make change and exchange foreign currency and Travelers Cheques. Part of your duties would be to confirm and pay out jackpots and prepare slot attendants' floats.
Competencies:
- Skill in accurately managing and balancing cash or monetary transactions.
- Show the ability to communicate effectively by balancing listening and talking, and by speaking and writing clearly and accurately while keeping others informed.
- The following training will ensure that proper documentation and appropriate procedures are utilized for administrative transactions.
- Capable of demonstrating knowledge in Cash Cage practices, policies, and procedures after training.
- Can swiftly find and fix errors in the display or transcription of information.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to guest focus by aiming for high guest satisfaction, being as helpful and pleasant as possible, and prioritizing guests' needs over those of yourself, your department, or your organization.
- Demonstrate accountability by planning ahead, managing time effectively, arriving on time, being cost-conscious, seeking better ways to do things, following instructions, maintaining an appropriate appearance, complying with team member policies and procedures, and showing a willingness to learn.
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively by being helpful, respectful, approachable, and team-oriented. Build strong working relationships and a positive work environment. Be responsible, honest, and loyal. Interact tactfully with others, resolve conflicts appropriately, and adapt to change.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a high school diploma (Grade 12) or an acceptable combination of relevant experience, education, and training. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing excellent customer service and recent experience in handling and balancing cash or monetary transactions. Preference may be given to applicants with casino experience. A Serving It Right Certificate would be an advantage.
Conditions of Employment:
You would be required to work a flexible schedule according to business needs, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Must apply for, receive and maintain a Gaming License from Gaming Policy Enforcement Branch, British Columbia. Must be 19 years or older in order to work in the Casino
