About the role

Pre-press, Graphic Designer – Winnipeg, Manitoba

Job Information: We’re seeking a detail-oriented Production Designer to support our national creative and production teams. This role is key in ensuring all artwork, both client-supplied and internally developed, meets production standards for print and digital out-of-home (OOH) advertising.

This is a production-focused role and not a conceptual design position. However, having a creative eye and strong design sensibility are valuable assets. While the primary focus is on technical accuracy and execution, there will be opportunities to contribute light design work, such as resizes, adaptations, or layout tweaks based on existing creative.

You’ll work closely with account executives, coordinators, and designers to ensure all creative assets are properly formatted, meet technical specifications, and are production-ready.

What you’ll do…

  • Place and format client-supplied artwork onto production templates for internal review and final output.
  • Adjust layout files to meet production specs, including resolution, bleed, scaling, and colour profiles.
  • Identify and flag missing or problematic elements in supplied creative and communicate clearly with internal teams.
  • Prepare and package final files for upload to print vendors.
  • Assist the design team with resizes, versioning, and minor layout or design adjustments based on existing creative.
  • Maintain organized folders, shared assets, and template libraries.

Who you are …

  • 2–4 years of experience in production design, prepress, or graphic design for print or out-of-home advertising.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) on Mac.
  • Strong understanding of print production workflows, colour modes, resolution, and file setup best practices.
  • A keen eye for design with the ability to make layout tweaks that respect and enhance existing creative.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to flag issues and provide actionable feedback.
  • Experience working within standardized templates and ad formats is an asset.
  • Familiarity with digital out-of-home or large-format printing is a plus.
