Security Guard - Corporate Security

We are currently hiring on-call Security Guards to support our client — a global technology leader in e-commerce, cloud computing, digital media, logistics, and consumer products and services — at their Downtown Toronto location. This role requires full open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience in corporate security, with a strong background in identity and access management. Exceptional communication skills and a customer-focused approach are essential to succeed in this fast-paced, professional environment.

Position Overview:
Location: Downtown Toronto
Must be available to work the following shift times:
- Monday to Friday: 0000 - 0800
- Monday to Friday: 0800 - 1600
- Monday to Friday: 1600 - 0000
- Saturday to Sunday: 0000 - 1200
- Saturday to Sunday: 1200 - 0000
Payrate: $19.63/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform access control provision duties, verify visitor badges and employee badges.
- Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
- Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
- Unlock and lock doors for access by authorized persons.
- Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
- Perform foot patrols inside the building on multiple floors.
- Tech savvy, working on multiple systems.
- Assist client employees with inquiries
QUALIFICATIONS**:**
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certification
- Minimum 2 years of security experience, preferably in a corporate or concierge environment
- Hands-on experience with access control systems and CCTV surveillance
- Strong understanding of security protocols and emergency response procedures
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and deliver outstanding customer service
- Flexible availability to work various shifts based on business needs
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, professional setting
