About the role
We are seeking an Assistant Student Services Coordinator to join our team in Winnipeg. Gallivan: Student Health and Wellness has a full-time opportunity for an Assistant Student Service Coordinator (SSC) at the student Benefit Plan Office (BPO) at Red River College in collaboration with RRCSA (Students’ Association). Gallivan is a provider of student benefits and mental health programs for universities and colleges across Canada. This position requires 5 days/week in-office located at 160 Princess St, Winnipeg, MB R3B 1K9.
The Assistant Student Services Coordinator will:
- Provide students with information on their Health, Dental and coverage plans
- Process and validate student waivers/online opt-outs and family plan online applications.
- Maintain accurate records utilizing the RRC Colleague system and Gallivan’s internal system, Custodian
- Coordinate policies and processes related to coverage eligibility and enrolment.
- Ensure students receive benefits cards upon request, including MB Health assistance when applying for pharmacare.
- Assist students with claims, applications, and other plan related administration.
- Create and providing Student Orientations for the various RRC programs to both domestic and international audiences and how to access the plan and provide resources to support.
To be successful as an Assistant Student Services Coordinator, you will need:
- 1+ years of experience in a Customer Service role.
- Professional, responsive, resourceful, flexible, high energy, positive work attitude and results driven with an interest in taking ownership and assuming accountability.
- Proficiency using Office 365 and the full suite of Microsoft Office applications (particularly SharePoint, Teams, Stream, Apps, One Drive, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Superior time management and multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks, to work in high-pressure situations and respond to conflicting demands, changing priorities and tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication (oral, written and listening) with advanced listening skills to quickly discern and be able to respond to all types of telephone, email and in-person enquiries.
- Flexibility to travel to various campuses including Exchange District Campus and Notre Dame Campus.
- Punjabi speaking considered an asset.
