Description
Riipen is looking for an Account-Based Marketing Manager to build and execute targeted marketing programs for priority academic accounts. This is a senior individual-contributor role that combines strategy with hands-on execution. Working closely with Sales, you will identify high-potential accounts, engage key stakeholders, and create coordinated campaigns that support pipeline development and revenue growth.
You will sit within Demand Marketing and partner with Brand and Communications, Research and Impact, Marketing Operations, and Sales. The right person is comfortable working autonomously while building strong, accountable relationships across Marketing and Sales.
This posting is for a vacant position. This role is fully remote and open to candidates in Canada.
The base salary range for this role is CAD $100,000–$115,000 annually, based on experience, capabilities, and internal equity.
What you'll do
Develop Riipen’s account-based marketing strategy for the academic market. Partner with Sales to define target accounts, account tiers, buying committees, and campaign priorities. Build and execute one-to-one, one-to-few, and one-to-select-many campaigns across email, paid media, content, events, webinars, and sales outreach. Use HubSpot, CRM data, account engagement, and intent signals to identify opportunities and trigger timely marketing and sales actions. Create targeted messaging and campaign briefs in partnership with Brand and Communications. Equip Sales with account insights, relevant content, outreach recommendations, and follow-up plays. Partner with Marketing Operations on segmentation, workflows, scoring, automation, attribution, and reporting. Measure account engagement, stakeholder coverage, meetings, pipeline creation, stage progression, and influenced revenue. Test and refine targeting, messaging, channels, and campaign formats to improve results.

Experience leveraging AI agents to maximize production and programming to meet at speed Five or more years of experience in B2B marketing, demand generation, growth marketing, or account-based marketing. Experience developing and executing account-based programs for complex or multi-stakeholder sales cycles. Strong hands-on experience with HubSpot, including segmentation, workflows, campaigns, automation, and reporting. Experience using intent data, engagement signals, and account intelligence to prioritize and activate accounts. A clear understanding of how marketing supports pipeline, sales progression, and revenue. Strong campaign planning, writing, project management, and analytical skills. The ability to move between strategic planning and hands-on execution. A collaborative approach and experience partnering closely with Sales.
Bonus Points
Experience in edtech, higher education, workforce development, SaaS, or marketplace businesses. Familiarity with academic buying committees, procurement processes, and institutional budget cycles. Experience building an ABM program from an early stage. Experience with paid account targeting, data enrichment, website personalization, or ABM platforms.
