Irrigation & Controls Lead (Hope)

We’re seeking an irrigation-savvy lead to help us water smarter and support system consistency across our grow.
Overview:
The Irrigation & Controls Lead ensures accurate delivery of water, nutrients, and environmental inputs to support healthy plant development across all stages. Reporting to the Irrigation Supervisor, this role is responsible for fertigation execution, system monitoring, and ensuring consistent climate conditions via environmental controls. The Lead will also contribute to IPM through sanitation and spraying as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute daily irrigation and fertigation schedules based on crop stage and SOPs.
- Monitor and log pH, EC, volume output, and runoff; troubleshoot irregularities proactively.
- Ensure environmental conditions meet optimal ranges (temperature, CO, RH); report control issues.
- Assist with daily maintenance and troubleshooting of irrigation lines, emitters, and fertigation tanks.
- Participate in preventative IPM spraying and sanitation activities.
- Maintain clean and safe fertigation and control system areas.
- Support data collection, equipment calibration, and digital tracking in Excel or cultivation software.
- Train team members in hand-watering practices and system checks as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience with irrigation or fertigation systems in cannabis or horticulture settings.
- Technically minded with basic knowledge of climate control systems (e.g., Priva, Argus).
- Detail-oriented and data-driven; proficient in Excel and digital tracking.
- Physically fit and comfortable working around tanks, lines, and in greenhouse conditions.
- Pesticide Applicator Certificate or willingness to obtain (required).
- Spanish proficiency is an asset.
