Department/Unit/Program Description
The Ross Memorial Hospital Maintenance Department, maintains the physical environment and provides related services to support the Hospital in reaching its goal of excellence in healthcare and public service. Hospital Maintenance includes electrical services, HVAC services, plumbing services, and general building maintenance services.
Position Summary
The Maintenance & Engineering department is currently seeking a Temporary Part-Time Clerk Typist to join their team.
Required Date: July 06, 2026
Ending on or Before: September 30, 2026
Essential Qualifications
Grade 12 or equivalent Keyboarding skills and minimum speed of 40 w.p.m. with high degree of accuracy - testing required Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) - testing required Minimum one (1) year recent office experience, preferably in a hospital setting Demonstrated ability to receive and transfer information in a courteous and polite manner Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and co-operatively with all levels of staff, patients, physicians and the public Demonstrated high level of communication, organizational and time management skills Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the job as per the current Physical Demands Analysis
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in UKG, MMC e-portal, Paradigm, Chubb Security program, and Precise
ParkLinc access system program
In addition, experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System Work Orders
processing - including receiving, distributing, follow-up and closing of work orders.
Hours of Work
Must be available to work day shifts, Monday through Friday. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
