On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Commercial Insurance Customer Service Representative to join their team of dedicated professionals in Elmsdale, Nova Scotia.

This position provides clients with the best insurance coverage and protection available via phone, walk-in or digital communications. They leverage technology and the broker management system and insurance company portals to process policy changes, prepare insurance quotes, review renewals, and sell, upsell and/or cross sell insurance policies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional best in industry client experience each and every time for new and existing clients.
• Be available to clients on commercial lines phone queue, through email and walk-ins.
• Build relationships and know clients' needs through meaningful communication, asking insightful and purposeful questions.
• Provide clients with the best insurance coverage and protection available.
• Leverage broker management system and insurance company portals to prepare insurance quotes and sell, upsell and/or cross sell insurance policies.
• Prepare and review renewals with customers and remarket policies as required.
• Connect with insurers and underwriters to discuss and submit risks.
• Process policy changes and endorsements on insurance company portals.
• Report, document and follow up on claims on behalf of customers.
• Assist teammates in ensuring clients have achieved the best insurance experience possible.
• Adhere to internal standardized procedures, standards, policies.
• Leverage technology and peers to best support team and client.
• Think about how we can do better and be more efficient.
• Keep communication open in a solution focused approach.
• Be a Caldwell Roach brand ambassador in all communication to clients and companies/partners.
• Be a contributing member of team by participating in team meetings and initiatives.
• Other sales or service projects as required.

Qualifications:

• Commercial insurance experience 2-4 years minimum.
• Exceptional customer service philosophy with demonstrated customer service skills.
• Not afraid to ask curious questions and look for opportunities in the best interest of the customer.
• Very strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a solid work ethic and desire to achieve.
• Strong multi-tasking and time management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Highly proficient and comfortable with technology.
• Dedicated team player.
• Desire to learn and continually develop skills.
