Bring Home’s Stories to Life Through Design
As a Graphic Designer - Communications, you will be responsible for the design, development, and production of internal and external corporate communications materials that support initiatives across Home Hardware. You’ll bring strong graphic design expertise and creativity to a wide range of print and digital projects, working closely with the Communications team and business partners to create materials that are clear, compelling, and on brand. Led by the Communications Manager, this opportunity suits a creative and highly organized designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can confidently manage multiple priorities, and enjoys bringing ideas to life.

Conceptualize, design, and produce engaging graphics for print and digital channels, including social media, presentations and templates, posters, signage, event materials, banners, emails, and invitation visuals. Support corporate communication design initiatives across the organization, creating materials for Team Members, Dealers, and suppliers. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs, provide creative guidance, and recommend effective and practical design solutions. Manage multiple design projects and ad hoc requests simultaneously, prioritizing work and managing timelines to deliver high-quality creative within tight deadlines. Ensure all creative materials align with Home Hardware’s brand standards, strategies, and objectives across all communication channels. Support corporate events by developing dimensional displays, trade exhibit materials, and environmental design concepts, including coordinating installations as required. Assist with photo sourcing, image editing, content formatting, and other production design needs. Collaborate with external partners, including translators, print vendors, and agencies, to coordinate projects and deliverables. Provide occasional support with video production and filming at corporate events, as required.
We’re looking for
College Diploma in Graphic Design or a related field. Three to five years of professional graphic design experience, ideally within a corporate environment. A strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical graphic design capabilities across print and digital channels. Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, in a Mac or PC environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel. Demonstrated ability to work within established brand guidelines while bringing creativity and fresh thinking to design projects. Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and tight production deadlines. Strong communication and advisory skills, with the ability to understand stakeholder needs, respond constructively to feedback, and recommend alternative solutions when needed. Flexibility and adaptability to manage changing priorities, multiple rounds of edits and approvals, and a high volume of ad hoc requests. Willingness to work additional hours during peak periods, as required. Photography experience is considered an asset. Experience supporting video production and filming is considered an asset and may be required from time to time. Ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
