Behaviour Interactive is seeking a Technical Director to lead the development and integration of cutting-edge generative AI solutions. In this pivotal role, you'll shape the architecture of our generative AI solutions, manage technical risks, and guide implementation decisions that will enhance our internal tools and bring innovative ideas to life — all while leading cross-disciplinary collaboration and fostering a shared vision across diverse teams.

In this role you will :
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of internal generative solutions, ensuring scalability and cross-system compatibility;
- Collaborate with developers to define technical requirements, project scopes, and timelines;
- Align project execution with company-wide strategies by actively engaging with cross-disciplinary teams to identify opportunities, gather requirements, and translate their needs into scalable AI-driven solutions;
- Mentor and grow a team of software engineers while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement;
- Assess and mitigate technical risks throughout the development lifecycle;
- Select technologies aligned with project goals and constraints;
- Conduct technical interviews and evaluate candidates;
- Evangelize the adoption of generative AI across the organization by raising awareness, showcasing practical applications, and empowering teams to experiment and innovate;
- Stay ahead of emerging trends, especially in generative AI integration.
What we're looking for :
- Minimum of 2 years in a technical direction position;
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with generative AI and prompt engineering, with a strong interest in LLMs, RAG, agents, and tool calling;
- Strong knowledge around full-stack development, including cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure;
- Proven leadership in managing engineering teams, with a focus on coaching, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration;
- Proficiency in Python and familiar with additional languages such as C#, C++, JavaScript, and TypeScript;
- Experience with vector databases and hybrid search;
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts;
- Expertise in defining and decomposing complex technical architectures;
- Passion about generative AI and ongoing research in the field.
Nice to have
- Experience with game engines such as Unreal Engine and Unity;
- Familiarity with generative AI tools for artistic content creation, such as Stable Diffusion and ComfyUI.
