Specialist, Specialty Compliance And Ethics - Licenses & Permits
About the role
Position Summary...
The Specialist, Ethics & Compliance is responsible to procure and maintain all licenses and permits on behalf of Walmart Canada Corp. Ensuring as a business we obtain all license/permits the ‘right way’ and are fully compliant with the laws and regulations wherever we operate.
What you'll do...
Responsible to maintain, process and coordinate all licenses and permits, including completion of all license applications and renewals, submission to government authorities, and processing required payments.
Work directly with key business partners and municipalities across Canada on license/ permit inquiries and licensing matters.
Partner with the Construction and Real Estate teams to ensure that all construction licenses are obtained, reviewed, and approved prior to any of the License and Permits third party intemidary submits to the agency on Walmart’s behalf.
Provide feedback and support on global initatives which will help strengthen the overall program.
Ensures that all required license and permits are uploaded in the global database and all communication pertaining to the applicable license and/ or permit is available in real time.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on mitigation activities to address potential permitting and licensing risks and issues.
Take a leadership role and proactively engage all related stakeholders and agencies to effectively manage permitting and licensing activities
Work in collaboration with the business and other project team members to make sure all required permits and licenses are properly identified and action plans to secure them are planned and implemented.
Assists with risk mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with Walmart and License and Permits policies and procedures.
