We’re looking for a Credit Analyst to join our head office located in Vernon, British Columbia. Our head office houses Tolko’s corporate services groups including Sales, Marketing & Logistics, Finance, Accounting & Credit, IT, Procurement and Human Resources.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

Minimum two years’ experience in a finance-related role.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or another business-related field.
-
Strong understanding of financial statements, ratios, and concepts.

Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft BI tools, Word, and Teams.
-
Keen attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies in data.
-
Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines in a high-pressure work environment.
-
Effective communication skills and collaborative team orientation.

In this role, you will:

Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements and assessment of credit requests, including new requests, credit limit change requests, and annual due diligence reviews.

Provide recommendations tied to analysis and assessment of credit risk.

Monitor customer daily payment trends and keep up to date with public companies' quarterly reporting.

Stay informed on market data reports impacting the forest products industry.

Assist Credit Specialist with customer reviews and new credit applications as needed.

Provide vacation coverage for Credit Specialist when required.
