- Overview We are seeking a skilled, experienced Aircraft Painter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing components, applying paint, topcoats, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet our standards. This role requires attention to detail, paint system knowledge, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.

Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment while ensuring even coverage and finish.
- Operate cranes and forklifts safely to gain access to required areas of the aircraft.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for preparation and application tasks.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members in assembly processes and lean manufacturing practices.
- Perform basic math calculations for mixing paints and estimating material requirements.
- Conduct quality checks on finished work to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Assist in machining tasks when necessary, demonstrating versatility within the team.
Experience
- high school diploma
- Previous experience in aircraft painting within a manufacturing or industrial setting is necessary. -Strong mechanical knowledge and experience using painting tools and equipment, as well as hand tools, power tools, cranes, and forklifts are essential.
- attention to detail and quality control is essential
- ability to read, understand and follow technical manuals and manufacturers instructions
- ability to multi-task and prioritize according to timeline requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
