Role Description

As a strategic leader and financial steward, the Director of Finance will oversee all financial operations at the Richmond site, ensuring sound financial modelling, forecasting, reporting, and operational support. This role plays a critical part in guiding business decisions, driving performance, and fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Mandate

  • Ensure compliance with all local, national, and corporate environmental, health and safety rules and regulations.
  • Comply with all local and national food safety and legal requirements.
  • Perform all job responsibilities under the strictest consideration of health and safety, food quality and production parameters.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Financial Modelling, Analysis & KPI Development

  • Lead full P&L ownership, developing financial models and KPIs to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare business cases for investments and operational initiatives.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and productivity enhancements.
  • Review and improve financial processes and procedures. Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership to drive profitability and efficiency.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating across departments to set financial targets.
  • Manage periodic forecasts to ensure visibility into financial performance.
  • Identify and communicate financial risks, and support teams in developing mitigation strategies.

3. Operational Finance Support

  • Partner with Operations to define and monitor financial KPIs.
  • Support forecasting and analysis of operational costs and efficiencies.

4. Financial Reporting

  • Co-lead financial reporting activities, ensuring compliance with Group Accounting standards.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including technical accounting areas.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Reporting team on cross-functional initiatives.

5. Leadership & Team Development

  • Set the strategic direction for the Finance team, aligning departmental goals with company objectives.
  • Manage daily operations and support project execution.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
  • Coach and mentor team members, supporting onboarding and career development.
  • Promote accountability, feedback, and continuous improvement through performance management practices.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Professional designation (CPA, CA) required.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Proficient in MS Office and financial systems. SAP experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong organizational and independent problem-solving capabilities.
