About the role

Job Description

The Department Head, User and Learning Services is responsible for leading the User and Learning Services department within the library. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of user-centered services and programs that enhance the learning experience of students and faculty.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the User and Learning Services department.
  • Develop and implement user-centered services and programs.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance the learning experience.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of services to ensure effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a library setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with user experience design.
  • Familiarity with current trends in library services and technology.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
