About the role

Welding Supervisor Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario

Our client is a well-established and growing aluminum fabrication manufacturer seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor to lead welding operations, ensure quality standards are maintained, and support a high-performing production team.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Welding Supervisor will oversee daily welding activities, provide leadership and coaching to welders and fabrication personnel, ensure compliance with CWB requirements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.

Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily welding and fabrication activities. Lead, coach, train, and develop welding personnel to ensure quality workmanship and productivity goals are achieved. Ensure compliance with CWB requirements, welding procedures, specifications, and company quality standards. Maintain and support the company's CSA W47.2 (Aluminum) certification requirements. Verify welder qualifications, welding procedures, and process controls are properly followed. Monitor production schedules and workflow to ensure customer commitments are met. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve technical and operational issues. Conduct quality inspections and investigate welding-related defects or non-conformances. Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Participate in hiring, performance management, and employee development activities.

Qualifications CWB Welding Supervisor Certification (CSA W47.2 – Aluminum) required. Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience in a welding or fabrication environment. Strong knowledge of aluminum welding processes, fabrication techniques, and welding quality requirements. Experience working within a CWB-certified manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication specifications. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives is considered an asset.
