The Position:
This is a temporary full-time position from April 20, 2026 to May 29, 2026, Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, based out of our Support Office. The Marketing Assistant reports to the Senior Marketing and Communications Coordinator and is integral to successful brand development. This position is responsible for taking on a variety of tasks that allow for the successful completion of planned marketing programs. This position requires a thorough understanding of AdaptAbilities programs, vision, and brand. The conscientious Marketing Assistant acts with integrity, is open to growth, lives our purpose, cultivates teamwork, and demonstrates an extraordinary effort to empower individuals with disabilities and their families to grow, succeed, and belong.
- Support marketing initiatives for programming opportunities
- Collaborate in creating innovative ways to gain exposure in the community
- Learn and work with various types of software for digital marketing
- Assist in social media content development
- Perform other job-related activities as required
Qualifications
- Successfully completed at least one year of a Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Communications, English, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Great phone, computer, public relations, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience utilizing office applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Previous work in a non-profit organization is an asset
- Clear Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check
Eligibility Criteria
This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Grant from the Government of Canada, which requires that the employee must be between 15 and 30 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. International students are not eligible.
Compensation $19 to $20.46/ hour depending on experience and education
