About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Cypress QA Automation Engineer to join in our QEA team in a permanent role. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cypress for automating end-to-end testing of web applications combined with a solid foundation in manual testing and API automation testing. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of web applications across different browsers and devices to ensure delivery of high-quality, responsive, and scalable web applications.
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Cypress, ensuring they meet the needs of the business.
- Design, develop, and implement automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
- Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and ensure functionality.
- Utilize your strong knowledge of key frameworks and languages such as and Javascript, Typescript to build robust and efficient automation solutions.
- Collaborate with developers and QA teams to identify test scenarios and data requirements.
- Work closely with developers and other QA team members to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline and ensure continuous quality improvement.
What you’ll need to succeed (required skills):
- Overall 6+ years of experience in test automation with at least 2+ yrs. of hands-on Cypress expertise.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for scripting automation tests.
- Familiarity with test frameworks like Mocha, Chai, or similar.
- Must have experience working in agile teams using BDD, Cucumber, Gitlab and Jenkins.
- Exposure to RESTful APIs and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
- Should be well versed in DevOps and CI/CD implementation.
- Familiarity with test management tools like Azure DevOps Test Plan or JIRA.
- Should work and support on-shore offshore model.

- Insurance domain experience is added advantage.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks like Playwright or WebdriverIO.
