About the role

We are hiring for a relief full-time Occupational Therapist at the Cottonwoods long-term care centre in Kelowna. This position may require driving and so a valid BC drivers license and access to a personal vehicle is a requirement.

Shift times/Hours of work: 07:00-15:00

About The Role

The Occupational Therapist works independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, and may be providing a full range of occupational therapy services across inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community settings.

Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Implement therapy programs to promote functional independence and optimal health outcomes. Provide consultation, education, and support to clients and their caregivers. Prescribe and recommend appropriate equipment to enhance daily living. Participate in program planning, quality assurance initiatives, research, and departmental meetings. Offer guidance and work direction to rehabilitation assistants regarding transfer of function.
