Who are you?

There’s a lot happening, and it’s happening fast. We need someone like you who will bring passion, dedication, and a love for working with people. Over the 3+ years you’ve worked in both office (primarily) and retail markets, cultivating relationships has become second nature to you. You are proactive: you lead your team by example rather than sitting back, and you create opportunities instead of waiting for them – but you also know to seize good opportunities when they come your way.

It’s important to us that you are team-oriented and that people like collaborating with you. Your understanding of your customers and partners is apparent through your clear written and verbal communication skills and your ability to conduct presentations and facilitate meetings.

We want to bring on someone who is eager to learn, work hard, and have fun. In other words, we want you to fit in here. This is an opportunity for you to take on responsibilities, build on your already strong skill set and help your team achieve its goals, all in a work environment that is fast-paced, dynamic and fun.

What will you do?

Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role. There are more, but we’ll discuss those in person:

  • Assist the team in full cycle leasing of space in assigned portfolio, including marketing, showings, and preparation of offers and negotiation of all aspects of formal lease documentation;
  • Assist with annual leasing projections, and have responsibility and accountability for revenue side of assigned portfolio;
  • Relationship building with our existing tenants and proactive solicitation of new tenants both through brokers and directly;
  • Responsible for and recognize the critical importance of being highly responsive to all inquiries and requests both within the organization and externally to the market.
  • Responsible for analysis of tenant covenant in order to recommend leases for approval;
  • Assist in evaluation of properties identified for potential acquisition;
  • Work with other Dream departments as required on tenant issues including construction, arrears, sub-lets etc.;
  • Manage, motivate and develop team members
  • Preparation of reporting to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Other duties as assigned; and
  • Be responsible for and comply with all aspects of health and safety: ensuring appropriate training, knowledge, and adherence to all applicable legislation and programs.

What type of experience do you have?

These are only some of the things we’d like you to bring to the table. We can cover the rest when we meet:

  • We highly value undergraduate degrees in Business and having a valid real estate license is an asset;
  • 3+ years in the industry, experience on the landlord side is an asset;
  • You thoroughly understand leasing structure analysis (NERs etc);
  • Experience with using the VTS Lease platform is ideal;
  • You have a track record of being entrepreneurial, innovative, and resilient.
