YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Process Plant Operations Superintendent, you will be part of the Process Plant Department. You will be responsible for the supervision of the Process Plant Operations shift team and ensure safe and efficient plant performance to meet production objectives. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Ensuring the safety of the team by applying a zero-harm approach to all tasks performed;
-
Planning crew activities in accordance with production, maintenance schedules and training requirements by allocating resources as required;
-
Providing direction and technical input to the Process Plant shift processing team;
-
Identifying areas with process bottlenecks and working with a team approach, wherever possible, to propose solutions to maximize utilization and efficiencies;
-
Providing guidance in the development of process control and operation philosophy;
-
Ensuring all direct reports time accounting entries are entered and verified;
-
Working with the team and cross shifts to achieve daily, monthly and yearly plant KPIs;
-
Maintaining a high level of safety and environmental awareness, ensuring crew members comply with all relevant company policies and procedures.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
-
Minimum High School Diploma or GED with strong mineral processing knowledge and experience; especially with crushing, grinding, leaching and gold recovery processes;
-
Preferably ten years’ operating experience in mineral processing, preferable in gold and high tonnage
-
operations;
-
Preferably five years’ process operations supervisory experience;
-
A good working knowledge and skillset with the use of Microsoft platform software;
-
Experience with HMIs, PLC’s and PI software;
-
Excellent communications, both verbal and written (English), and conflict resolution skills;
-
Demonstrated leadership skills to provide motivation and foster team building;
-
Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices and experience with the use of process control systems;
-
Valid Canadian driver’s license;
-
Sound knowledge of crushing, grinding and gold leaching/ recovery processes;
-
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Schedule: 7/7 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;

Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
Compensation Statement
In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.
