Job Summary

To provide technical support and assist in data cleaning, manipulation, analysis and visualization on data to deliver insights and contribute to evidence informed decision making and solutions.

Major Responsibilities

Provides technical support and assists with performing data cleaning, manipulation, analysis and visualization to support data migration, implementation, evidence-informed decision-making and issue resolution. Contributes to the development of data models, dashboards and databases. Sets up data queries, builds Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes, data preparation workflows and reusable scripts to support data migration from legacy systems and manual spreadsheet-based sources into IBM Maximo and related enterprise applications. Provides technical expertise using data analysis, migration, transformation, mapping, validation and reconciliation techniques to support data-driven implementation decision-making. Formulates data-related recommendations to support data migration, data quality improvement, implementation readiness and issue resolution. Connects a variety of business data such as asset location, spatial acility condition d business data and analyzes data to support migration readiness, implementation decisions and operational insights. Ensures data quality, identifies errors and performs data cleanses, validates, standardizes and reconciles datasets, including identifying completeness, consistency, duplication, formatting, taxonomy, referential integrity and other data quality issues. Builds data visualizations, reports and briefing materials to inform decision-making and contribute to implementation updates and briefing decks. Guides stakeholders in understanding data findings, validation results, dashboards and reporting tools used to support decision-making. Produces data visualization and reports using structured, spreadsheet-based, database, spatial and geospatial data sources. Tracks and maintains KPIs, data quality indicators, migration progress measures and business impacts related to a major technology and process transformation. Troubleshoots and takes actions to resolve issues associated with data quality, data migration, interpretation, reporting, testing and post-load validation. Communicates analysis results, data quality findings, assumptions, transformation decisions, defects and implementation issues to internal and external stakeholders. Compiles data, reconciliation, validation and statistical reports based on data analysis, including formatting for clarity, structure and decision-making. Maintains data, documentation and records in accordance with information management, privacy, ethical analytics and data governance best practices and guidelines. Develops, fosters and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Builds relationships with key business users and decision makers to understand business requirements, confirm data definitions, validation rules, taxonomy decisions and acceptable data quality thresholds. Supports knowledge transfer to team members and stakeholders on data definitions, validation rules, data quality findings, dashboards, reports and data processes.

Key Qualifications

Your application must desribe your qualifications as they relate to:

Post-secondary education in Data Analytics/Science, Statistics, Geographic Information System/Geomatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Building Systems/Science, Asset Management, Facilities Management, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Experience supporting data migration, conversion, or system implementation, including preparing, transforming, validating, reconciling, and documenting data from legacy systems or manual sources into enterprise applications. Experience with source-to-target data mapping, including field relationships, transformation rules, business rules, exceptions, and unresolved mapping issues. Experience profiling, cleansing, validating, standardizing, and reconciling complex datasets, including data quality issues related to completeness, consistency, duplication, formatting, taxonomy, and referential integrity. Experience using databases, query languages, scripting, or data preparation tools to extract, analyze, transform, automate, test, and validate data, including Structured Query Language (SQL), Oracle or similar databases, Python, Tableau Prep, or comparable tools.

You must also have

Familiarity with data dictionaries, data lineage, taxonomy, controlled vocabularies, business glossaries, or related metadata documentation. Familiarity with Geographic Information System (GIS) tools, spatial data, or location-based asset data. A willingness to learn about enterprise asset management, work management, facility management, and maintenance management systems.
